Boesman Petrus Makae is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education management, strategic planning, and institutional development. He currently serves as the Manager for Partnerships, Linkages, and the Office of the Principal at Motheo TVET College, where his leadership spans critical areas such as business partnerships, strategic planning and implementation, performance monitoring, and project management. In this role, he also oversees administrative functions, ensuring the efficient operation of the college and driving its mission forward.
Prior to his current position, Boesman held the role of Assistant Registrar: Auxiliary Services and Examinations at the University of Venda. There, he was entrusted with managing three key departments—Postal Services, Printing Services, and Examinations—where he led efforts in policy development, governance, and senior university management. His ability to inspire and develop staff, manage budgets, and solve complex problems distinguished him as a dynamic leader. He introduced and managed various sectional projects that contributed to the growth and improvement of the university’s services.
Boesman's professional journey began at the Central University of Technology, Free State, as an Assessment Officer, later advancing to Deputy Head of the Assessment and Graduation Unit.
His academic qualifications include a National Diploma in Commercial Administration, a Baccalaureus Technologies in Commercial Administration, a Project Management certification, and a Postgraduate Diploma in TVET Management and Leadership. Boesman’s career reflects a strong commitment to education, leadership, and strategic execution across the higher education and TVET sectors.
