Mr. Erick Fundula Nenghwanya became the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Training Authority on 1 April 2024, on a five-year term.
A distinguished public servant, Mr. Nenghwanya’s former employers include the Office of the President, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the National Youth Service, and the Namibian Police. Before taking up the reins at the NTA, Mr. Nenghwanya served as the Centre Manager of the Nakayale Vocational Training Centre at Outapi, Omusati, for eight years.
Mr Nenghwanya holds a Master’s degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from East China Normal University, an International Diploma in Educational Planning and Administration from the National University of Educational Planning and Administration of India, and a Diploma in Water Technology from the Technical College of Magdeburg, Germany.
He also acquired professional certifications in Management and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) from the International Labor Organization in Italy, the Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Germany, and the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, respectively.
A seasoned TVET expert, Mr. Nenghwanya anticipates building on the NTA’s impressive track record of impactful growth and further unlock the transformative power of TVET to harness the youth dividend and support Namibia’s sustainable socio-economic development aspirations.
