Mr Sipho Shoba has been an Education, Training, and Development Practitioner since the early establishment of the SETAs in 2002, where his key focus areas have included advising on skills development, providing training, and ensuring quality assurance for programs delivered through various SETAs. Over 13 years at the W&RSETA, Sipho held multiple leadership roles, including Project Manager, Provincial Manager, Senior Regional Manager, and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
His career also includes experience as a Business Development Consultant, specializing in greenfield and brownfield projects, focusing on feasibility studies, business planning, and project management services. In addition, Sipho played a crucial role in land claims investigations, successfully securing restitution for over 23 community land claims.
Through his consultancy work, he also facilitated post-land claim development by conceptualizing projects and investments that led to the establishment of shopping centres, manufacturing projects, and small-scale mining initiatives.
