Ms. Gugu G Sema has worked at national and provincial governments and the private sector at various levels of human resource development. She has focused on learning and development in these sectors. She earned her Master’s in Business Leadership (MBL) from the Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL-UNISA). Member of the South African Artificial Intelligence Association Advisory Board and Tshwane University of Technology Computer Systems Engineering Advisory Committee Board.
Currently involved in spearheading the 41R for MICT SETA, ensuring that MICT has the qualifications to respond to 4IR and the skills required for the future. She has successfully facilitated the establishment of 4IR Research Chairs across various Public Universities, and with industry support to date, she led the development of fifty (50) occupational qualifications that have been registered by the Quality Council of Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) including Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Processing Automation, Design Thinking, Cyber Security Cloud Computing, Data Science, Internet of Things, e-waste, Software Development, Quality Engineering Automation, Robotic Processing Automation, Remote Piloting Aircraft, Block Chain, 3D Printing, Fibre Optic, 5g, Mobile Device Repairs and Extended Reality.
